My heartful condolences for the departed soul. May God bless the family and give them enough strength to face the situation. After Akshaya Mohanty, the Odia music industries lost another senior and beautiful singer… called Sikandar Alam. Till his memorable songs… Akhiphula e suhaga aau kaha kahinki, Dele dhara Katha Sare… are on air, MD.Alam will be in our hearts.

Sikandar Alam was a great singer of Orissa, making has listener spelbound for more than half a century. His sweet voice for romantic songs and pathos-voice for devotional songs speak the uniqueness of his artisic talent. His sudden demise is a great loss to Oriya music and Oriya Cinema.
